Using Lower Resist wand to break immunity
I've read that using a lower resistance weapon is the sole method to ensure that any class is capable of breaking immunities with no Infinity runeword. I finally purchased one from Akara to use alongside my Blizzard Sorceress, but it's not working. Tested it out on Blood Moor cold immune Hell mode zombies. When I apply the wand to them and notice the little purple swirl image above their heads Blizzard doesn't do any harm. Does it really work? Or do I miss something? The resistivity is of the monster and, if it has a resist greater than 100 that lower resist is just 1/5 effective. or something similar to that. Also, an absolute Zombie comes with 120% of base cold resistance and the lower resistance (if it is level 6 = 49 percent resistance) only subtract 10 percent still giving his cold res 110.
